Remember I wrote about the cool new visual search engine called SearchMe? Well, it looks like their team is already working on the iPhone version. This will go great with iPhone since SearchMe itself was a rip-off of iPhone’s media browser. (Rip-off in a good way though, technology is all about copying each other and making it better nowdays.)
I really think these guys are up to something, SearchMe is something I was thinking of making before too but didn’t really have the man-power.
The visual search engine that launched last March is working on a natural extension: a visual search app for the iPhone. The app is ready, but the company is still waiting for it to be approved by Apple for the iTunes App Store. Co-Founder John Holland showed me a functioning version of the app earlier this week at TechCrunch50.
SearchMe is a Visual Search Engine sorta like iPod Touch and iPhones!
I recently ran into a cool visual search site called SearchMe that lets you search visually using screenshots of search results. It’s really iPod Touch/iPhone browsing applied to a search engine.
The service works pretty fast and it’s pretty neat. I might not use it on regular basis but it seems to have a big future.
For being a good search engine, we gave it our “Web3.0″ tag.
