With all the people trying to make money by piggy backing on Twitter, here’s another cool app that might make a million bucks using that strategy.
TwittURLy is a real time tracker of popular URLs on Twitter.
It looks like a good idea and if they can implement a “category-based” updates, it might even do better.
Twitturly operates similar to Digg.com, however instead of users voting sites up or down on our site, we monitor the Twitter public timeline for links inside the Tweets and consider each tweet with a link in it as a vote for that URL.
A major benefit of Twitturly over other popular news outlets is that Twitter often has the information first, thus anyone watching Twitturly will usually see news break before any other outlet has it.
We use a proprietary algorithm to sort the links on our homepage so the most popular and recent ones appear closer to the top.

Have you used Yahoo (YHOO)search engine lately?
Well, I haven’t used it honestly for couple months but I am impressed at their new real-time AJAX keyword suggestion feature.
They even have an “Explore concepts” feature, which I’d say is more towards Web 3.0 and the semantic web.
This functionality is way more advanced than Google (GOOG) at this point. I am sure Google has something in the works to compete against Yahoo’s innovations but today I am impressed at Yahoo’s improvements.
Now, if Yahoo keeps improves their search engine algorithm a little bit or join Google to make the GooHoo thing real, that’d be the day we have some really really good search engine.

MobileTraffic.TV can stream live traffic cam screenshots right into your mobile phone. I think it’s a great idea except they don’t have cameras for where I live, San Francisco. I think it’s necessary to put more cities in California other than San Diego which I am sure they will in the future.
Great idea, but probably will need more cams to become viral.
Before you depart for your daily commute or next road trip, you might listen to the traffic report or check a local website for traffic conditions. With MobileTraffic.tv, you can now access this type of information in real-time, from your mobile device. MobileTraffic.tv claims to be the most comprehensive service available for viewing the traffic camera images from your mobile device.

Wow, here’s a mashup of GoogleMaps with GPS and embeddable videos called Seero. As you can see in the above broadcast, you can be traveling while you record your videos and chart it in real-time via GoogleMaps API. Looks like they are based in San Fran and the guy in the video is driving around the Golden Gate Park, where I drive through daily.
Thankfully the embeddable video player has configurations for both horizontal and vertical orientations, so it’s easier to find the right size embed to fit into your personal blog or website. As with all Seero video embeds, the new GPS embed has an on-demand playlist option so viewers can watch your content, regardless of your live or off-air status. As a self-broadcaster, you can determine which videos you’d like to display on the playlist.

Domize, is a domain search tool that searches as you type using AJAX technology. (what I presume)
Basically, when you type “Google.com”, it will search for the available domain names in real-time including g.com, go.com,goo.com, goog.com, you get the idea.
I might have some good uses for this as sometimes I need that fast response.
Great job guys on the site.

As you type in the search box, Domize automatically starts showing the availability of dot coms, dot nets, and dot orgs. Red indicates it’s taken, blue indicates it’s available. Click the blue and Domize links you to GoDaddy to purchase the name (Domize presumably makes affiliate revenue if you complete the buy). Mouse-over the red for domain names that are taken and you’ll get a preview of the site, which allows you to see if it’s developed, or one that has nothing on it and is likely owned by a domain squatter that might be willing to sell you the name.
