Google’s Third Quarter Revenue Rises over 30 percent at 5.5 Billion!

Google Korea buys Korean version of Wordpress!

Google’s 3rd Quarter revenue finished up at a whopping $5.5 Billion, up 30% from last year.   This might prove that Google’s internet business isn’t affected much by the regression of U.S. economy.

This is great news for bloggers and alike as we can continue to reap benefits even at the worst times of economy.  Google may be also be benefiting from the fact that their customers consist from all over the world, not just the U.S.

I am really rooting for Google to do well as it has everything to do with my business.  As far as AdSense program goes, it’s the most “stable” way to make money online these days, you can refer to my AdSense Optimization blog for tips on that.

It might be also a great opportunity to buy bunch of Google (GOOG) stocks as stocks are down right now.  I am sure in the long run, buying Google stocks will pay off.

Google launches StreetView for Mobile GoogleMaps!

Download latest version of Flash to view video! .

Click Here to View in Full Screen Mode

Google (GOOG) launches version 2.3.1 GoogleMaps for Mobile Phones that will include StreetView.

Although mobile GoogleMaps is good enough already with Satellite and Map views, the StreetView feature will allow users to “see” where they are going in 3D, just like the regular desktop version.

I am actually in the process of upgrading my mobile GoogleMaps on my Blackberry 8830, so will have a video soon.

Today we’re launching a new version of Google Maps for mobile with the same street-level imagery available on desktop. Wondering if the restaurant in your search results is the one you’re thinking of? Just click “Street View” after your search to see the storefront. Unsure about a complicated intersection in your directions? Use Street View to see a photo, so there’s no mistaking your turn. You can also launch Street View from any address where we have photography, or simply by clicking on the map and selecting “Street View”. You can browse Street View overlaid on the map or in full screen, rotate your view to see more of your surroundings, and move along the street.

Google Lets You Monitor Access To Your Gmail Account!

Google Lets You Monitor Access To Your Gmail Account!

Google adds a new feature where you can track logins to your Gmail account.  I personally think this is a great idea as I think Gmail needs a security feature for corporate users and alike.

Now you can browse logs of access to your Gmail by Browser, IP address, and time.

Your IP address, or Internet Protocol address, is a number associated with your computer when you connect to the Internet. Some of you might want to know your IP address numbers (more info on finding out your IP address below) for an extra layer of control. For others who don’t want to think about IP information, you don’t need to.

TinyURL adds Alias Feature!

TinyURL adds Alias Feature!

TinyURL now allows for users to add their custom alias.

For example, you can now go to http://tinyurl.com/zedomaxnet to access this blog.

I think since TinyURL really bases itself on redirecting, there should be no problems as far as SEO is concerned.

In short, TinyURL just got better!

Did U Mean? Blog Launches!

Did U Mean? Blog Launches!

Did U Mean? - The Misspelling Blog has launched their new blog, Did-u-Mean.com.  It’s a blog about common and uncommon misspellings of the English words.

Interestingly, Google can be spelled many ways.

In the long run, this blog might have a chance at grabing a large share of internet users who misspell a lot.

From the about page:

Did U Mean Blog was created to humor and educate people on mis-spellings of common English words.

Seriously, don’t take us too seriously, we just like poking around.

Google and the Anti-Obama Bloggers

It seems like some of the bloggers on blogger.com with anti-obama blogs have been blocked.

Personally, I don’t have a political opinion here but it looks like Google is marking those blogs as “spam”.

I am not sure what Google’s policies are on political blogs but just as an advice, I wouldn’t host my blog on blogger if I seriously wanted a “free voice” or freedom.

The bloggers in question, most of them supporters of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, and all of them opposed to Senator Obama, received a notice from Google last week saying that their sites had been identified as potential “spam” blogs. “You will not be able to publish posts to your blog until we review your site and confirm that it is not a spam blog,” the Google e-mail read.

Heck, the funny thing is, supporters of Clinton should now be supporting Obama, what is happening???

Well, we will leave that up to you to decide.

I got Married with Google!

I got Married with Google!

Check out this couple who arranged and managed pretty much everything they can using Google’s products including GoogleDocs, GoogleMaps, etc…etc…

This might be an overkill for your marriage but Google is starting to prove that their applications can pretty much replace anything that Microsoft has done before.

On the other side of the globe, Microsoft is wetting its pants trying to buy search engines or anything that might save their company in the new Web 2.0 era.
