Unemployment Rates Just Went Up in the US!

If 100% people return iPhone Apps, that means Apple keeps 30% while the iPhone App developers have to basically gulp out that commission to Apple.

Sorta reminiscent of Apple’s logo doesn’t it?  (Take a bite out of the Apple)

For now, it seems clear though that Apple is being “evil” and basically cashing in something that should belong to the App developers.

Clause in the contract:

In the event that Apple receives any notice or claim from any end-user that: (i) the end-user wishes to cancel its license to any of the Licensed Applications within ninety (90) days of the date of download of that Licensed Application by that end-user; or (ii) a Licensed Application fails to conform to Your specifications or Your product warranty or the requirements of any applicable law, Apple may refund to the end-user the full amount of the price paid by the end-user for that Licensed Application. In the event that Apple refunds any such price to an end-user, You shall reimburse, or grant Apple a credit for, an amount equal to the price for that Licensed Application. Apple will have the right to retain its commission on the sale of that Licensed Application, notwithstanding the refund of the price to the end.

Boo Apple, can we have a little democracy here, not democrazy or any of that Hitler shite?

We will let you be the judge but our fairness tells us that this simply is “evil”, not that we doubt Apple isn’t.

Well, it looks like there’s more website that will be showing the Presidential Inauguration of Obama live on the internet.
(It’s a surprising factor that there’s so many sites, further verifying Obama’s popularity over past Presidents such as Bush.)

• CNN Live is offering Inauguration Live with ability to communicate on Facebook.
• Current.com is also offering Inauguration Live with ability to add your message via Twitter.
• MSNBC is offering live stream here.
• CBSNews.com is offering Inaugration Live and you can submit some of your questions to be answered by the anchor.
• BBCNews is offering live stream exclusively to UK users.
• Joost might be a good high-res option for watch the Inauguration live.

As for me, I will be sticking my face in front of my HDTV, one of the only times during the year I actually watch TV.

Let’s hope the the inauguration goes well safetly without any incidents.

WiMAX is coming to Sprint network!!!  This is great news since Samsung has already built PC cards, wifi cards, and PMPs for the WiMax and they are going to be rolling out new ones continually.

Last month, Samsung announced the introduction of several WiMAX-enabled devices. The Express Card ‘E100 PC Card’ and WiMAX embedded UMPC ‘Q1 Ultra Premium Mobile PC’ underscore Samsung’s position as the leading provider of end-to-end mobile WiMAX network systems. With the technology proven to be ready, the Samsung mobile WiMAX systems being deployed for Sprint in Baltimore and Washington D.C. support the commercial introduction of XOHM service anticipated to begin later this year.

Phew, I Can’t wait to get my hands on one of those WiMax embedded PMPs…

Here’s a fun video I site hopped yesterday over at Google Blog.

Last week at the annual meeting of our Online Sales and Operations (OSO) organization, a group of us (1,211 Googlers from around the world, to be exact) made an attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the “largest cake decorating lesson.” This isn’t the first time we’ve taken our culinary talents to great heights, but it is the first time we’ve attempted to bake our way to a new record.
