Samsung Jumping on the Google TV Wagon!
Google has been reportedly working on Google TV, powered by Android since its announcement couple months ago.
Looks like it won’t be too long before Google TV could be found everywhere as now Samsung in jumping the wagon. Whereas it took Samsung a longer time to jump on Google’s Android platforms for smartphone market, it seems like they have recognized Google’s dominance over commercial open-source platforms.
Personally, I think this is heading in the right direction. I know Apple TVs never became too popular (probably not the right time) but I Google TVs could potentially change everything we do with out TVs.

Already been involved in mobile communications as an RF engineer since 1982 when I worked for Motorola. Had Blackberrys for the last eight years or so, but just pre ordered a Samsung Vibrant from T-mobile. Want a few new features as well as a new Operating system to play with. I’m disappointed that T-mobile has turned off the wi-fi compatability hotspot feature in the Samsung Vibrant, but I’m certain somebody will figure out exactly how to root it and add the feature back in. I am now transporting a wifi only iPad and want to wirelessly tether it to the cellular phone. Looking forward to getting my new phone!

Thanks for the nice article, I’m excitedly awaiting my Samsung Captivate through T-Mobile as soon as they technically confirm that they’re carrying it. I was in my neighborhood shop today and experienced a hold of their own dummy unit. It looks and feels much better than I thought. This is going to be the cell phone to get. Never mind the iPhone 4g, the Galaxy S is where it’s at. As for me, I’m upgrading from a Samsung Pixon after an 18 month contract and am pleased to have finally settled on the Galaxy S. The decision process was fraught with many, many hours of investigation on the internet. I was close to an HTC Desire and even closer to an Xperia X10 but then, from out of nowhere, I came across the GSMArena.com review of the Galaxy S and it just does everything so well.

Whilst I like a physical keyboard, after handling the Samsung Captivate for approximately quarter-hour, it is laborious to go back. Presently I am debating whether to go to Verizon for the Droid X, cross to Dash for the EVO, or stick with AT&T for the Captivate…selections, decisions.
