It’s been a couple days since I got my hands on the new Google Nexus One that runs Android and I am pleased with the fact that I can buy music from Amazon. Nevermind the iTunes store, I’ve never used it so it really doesn’t matter so long as I can get a wide variety of music. I buy a lot of things from Amazon and their array of HD movies and music is probably one of the best apart from all the books and other products they sell.
Anyways, Google and Amazon is partnering in UK to do some Android music sales. This isn’t news for people like me who are using that already here in the US but neverthless, this will certainly impact Android sales and decline of Apple iPhones. (or less reasons to get an iPhone)
The move will put Amazon and Google in direct competition with Apple’s iPhone, which enables users to download music, movies, podcasts and TV shows on the move through the iTunes Music Store.
Amazon MP3 has been available on Android-based devices in the United States since the first “Google phone” went on sale in Oct 2008, but has not been accessible to British users of Google Android devices.
